What is the goal of this study?

There is increasing interest in the use of market-mechanisms in policies that seek to improve environmental quality, conserve natural resources, and protect the land. While the use of markets can improve the cost-effectiveness of these policies, establishing effective markets is often complicated. Our research is meant to better understand these complexities.
